Using Ebooks

This LibGuide will describe the ways to find and use ebooks owned by or accessible to patrons of the Wiggin Library at Meadville Lombard Theological School. 

  Start Using the Online Catalog to Find Ebooks

Proquest Ebook Central is the primary interface used that  to access ebooks owned by the Wiggin library or that are accessible thanks to CARLI (Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois). Most ebook links from the online catalog will redirect to Ebook Central. Users can access these ebooks using their Populi ID and password. If you are already signed in to Populi or a library service that uses those login credentials, you may be automatically signed in to access Ebook Central. Some ebooks will be accessed in other interfaces - details on other ebook platforms can be found on the Other Ebook Platforms section of this guide.

The library has iPads that can be checked out to assist students in accessing online required readings for coursework and to easily use the host of other digital resources available online from the Wiggin Library. iPads will be mailed directly to you and you can keep them for the entire semester. Check out the iPad Kit online guide for details, including how to request a kit for the semester!
