Using Ebooks

Reading Ebooks on Kindle

As explained in the above pages, library ebooks can either be read online or else downloaded (in whole or chapter by chapter) in PDF or EPUB format.  If you wish to read an ebook on a Kindle, you must convert it to Kindle format.  You can easily convert PDF, EPUB, and other file formats into Kindle format for free using Amazon's Send to Kindle.  At that site, simply select or drag PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, RTF, HTM, HTML, PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG, BMP, or EPUB files no bigger than 200 MB and select "Send."

For instructions on how to cite a Kindle edition of a book, see the Kindle Editions tab of the Books section of our citation guide.
