The Poetry and Meditation Collection is located in the Meditation Room on the 7th floor at Meadville Lombard Theological School.
All books in the Meditation Room can be borrowed with a Wiggin Library account. Books in this collection circulate like those in the main collection. They can be borrowed for four weeks to start, with the option to renew for up to four months.
Requests for books from the Poetry and Meditation Collection can be placed by following the hyperlinked title or thumbnail for any book in this guide or by searching the online catalog.
If you are on campus and find a book in the Meditation Room you would like to borrow, bring it to the Wiggin Library during open hours to check it out with a librarian.
The Wiggin Library is located in Suite 625 on the 6th floor of 180 N Wabash Ave.

Request the book from Wiggin Library. A librarian will charge the book to you remotely, and you can take it right from the Meditation Room. You will receive a confirmation email once the book has been checked out to you.

You can request to borrow a book from the Poetry and Meditation Collection on your mobile device while in the Meditation Room, without having to visit the library. To do so, navigate to the book's record in the online catalog from links on the Full Collection List page of this guide.
1. Once you are viewing the book's record in the catalog you will be given the option to request it:
2. Select "Request from Wiggin Library", even if there is also a "Request from I-Share" option. Selecting "Request from Wiggin Library" will open this pop-up form:
3. Use the drop-down menus to select your pick up preferences. If you are on campus and requesting a book in the Meditation Room to take with you, make these selections:
4. In the Comments field please include the note "Meditation Room Pickup."
5. Clicking the green "Send Request" link will submit your request. A green popup will appear saying "Your request was successfully placed" when the request has gone through. You can view your requests in your "My Account" page of the online catalog.
6. You will receive an email confirmation when the book has been checked out to you. If you do not receive this email, please contact library@meadville.edu.
If you've borrowed a book from the Poetry and Meditation Collection, please DO NOT just put it back on the shelf in the Meditation Room when you are finished. Doing this will not count as "returned" and the book will still be charged to your account. Instead, please select one of the following options to return a book from the Poetry and Meditation Collection:
a. Place the book in the library book return locker on the 7th floor at Meadville Lombard (Suite 700).
b. Return items to the circulation desk in the Wiggin Library during open hours. You can hand the book directly to a librarian or leave in the white return box on the circulation desk.
c. If you took the book home with you from Chicago, you can return it by mail. Details on returning by mail can be found in the USPS Delivery section of the Using the Online Catalog guide.
