As explained the introduction by George Kimmich Beach, the archival manuscript available on this webpage is the complete unedited version of James Luther Adams' autobiography. The much shorter edited version was published under the title "Not Without Dust and Heat" and is available for circulation for Wiggin Library patrons. This shorter memoir includes an introduction by one-time President Emeritus of the JLA Foundation Max L. Stackhouse and a short essay, "A Tribute to the Life of a Teacher" by George Huntston Williams.
