UUA Ministerial Credentialing Process

This Guide

Drawing from information available from the Unitarian Universalist Association's (UUA) 'Becoming a Unitarian Universalist Minister' page, Meadville Lombard's 'UU Ministerial Credentialing' page, and other relevant sources, this guide offers step by step instruction and advice for Meadville Lombard MDiv students who are working towards Unitarian Universalist ministerial fellowship. Information in this guide is subject to change should any updates or alterations be made to MFC documentation and/or requirements.

Credentialing and Meadville Lombard Theological School

The Master of Divinity program at Meadville Lombard is designed to integrate seamlessly with the requirements to become a fully credentialed minister within the Unitarian Universalist Association. For those seeking credentialing or ordination in other traditions, our Senior Director of Contextual Ministry will work with you and with your credentialing body to make sure you know what you will need to do to meet ordination requirements and how those requirements will fit with your degree program.

Current Meadville Lombard students can contact the Senior Director of Contextual Ministry, Rev. Jules Taylor, with questions about this process: dircontextmin@meadville.edu or 312.546.6482.
